Harley Street BID was delighted to receive a University of Westminster’s Local Community Partner Award 2026 for helping students connect with local businesses and industry leaders.
The award forms part of the University’s annual Partnership and Impact Awards, which recognise organisations and individuals making a positive contribution to the Westminster community.
Linsey Cole, Director of Business Engagement and Graduate Futures said:
“A strong supporter of the University of Westminster, Harley Street BID has helped build meaningful connections between students and local businesses through mentoring, workshops, volunteering and leadership initiatives. By involving senior business leaders, including chief executives, in University programmes, the BID has given students direct access to experienced professionals, helping them build confidence, expand their networks and gain valuable real-world perspectives. Its ongoing support has strengthened ties between the University and the local business community.”
Established in 2022, Harley Street BID is a not-for-profit Business Improvement District that brings together businesses, landowners, medical organisations, charities and community groups across the area.
Through its partnership with the University, the BID and its members have supported mentoring, workshops, leadership programmes, volunteering and networking opportunities. It has also shared University initiatives with local organisations, opening up further opportunities for students and businesses to work together.
