UCLH Charity is encouraging local businesses and residents to support patients spending Christmas in hospital by purchasing Christmas cards from its online shop.
Every card sold helps fund the charity’s Gift of Giving appeal, which provides gifts, care packages and festive activities for patients during the Christmas period.
Businesses can also support the appeal by donating items for patient gift bags, organising workplace fundraising activities or making a corporate donation. The charity is particularly seeking toiletries, comfort items, children’s activities and baby products.
Donations can help provide personal care packages for older patients, specialist toys for neurodiverse children, and creative activities and entertainment for young people who are unable to spend Christmas with family and friends.
There are also several opportunities for teams to get involved, including the UCLH Charity Carol Concert on 9 December, Santa in the City on 10 December, and station collections on 15 December.
