Women’s safety training available for Harley Street businesses

The BID, in partnership with Westminster City Council, is inviting local businesses to take part in a dedicated training session designed to help create safer and more welcoming spaces for women and vulnerable people.

The event will take place on Tuesday 6th October 13:00 to 15:00, St Marylebone Parish Church.

Businesses completing the session will receive the official Westminster City Council Women’s Safety Business Accreditation and become registered Safe Havens.

Safe Havens provide secure and welcoming places where anyone who feels vulnerable or unsafe can seek support, including while making their way home. The accreditation also demonstrates that Westminster City Council recognises the organisation as upholding high standards of safety for women and vulnerable customers.

The two-hour session will cover:
• Safeguarding and vulnerability
• Preventing sexual harassment
• How to become and operate as a Safe Haven
• Business accreditation and Safe Haven registration

Participating organisations will receive Safe Haven window stickers, an official report, certificates and a list of relevant support services following the training.

If you or a member of your team would like to attend, please email ashley@harleystreetbid.com to secure a place.  Businesses can send as many members of staff as they wish to complete the session.
