Drop in event dates and detail on the proposals for transport and highway changes to traffic flow, buses and routing, taxi’s, private hire and cycling.
Transport for London is seeking views on the proposed transport and highway changes to enable the pedestrianisation of Oxford Street -from Orchard Street to Great Portland Street.
Businesses are encouraged to see how these changes will affect operational requirements and to share views whilst plans are in development to enable the future pedestrianisation of the section of Oxford Street between Orchard Street and Great Portland Street.
A series of drop in events are also available to find out more information. The consultation closing 16 January 2026.
These will take place on the following locations:

· 13th December 2025 1pm – 5pm, Princes St room, Salvation Army Regent Hall 275 Oxford Street W1C 2DJ

· 10th January 2026 1pm – 5pm, Princes St room, Salvation Army Regent Hall 275 Oxford Street W1C 2DJ entrance on Princes Street
The Mayor strongly believes that pedestrianisation has a vital part to play in the regeneration of Oxford Street to create a cleaner, safer, and more accessible public space where people can shop, dine, and gather in comfort and safety.
