Harley Street is known worldwide for its leading medical expertise, and The Evewell is proud to be part of this tradition.
Ranked in the top three clinics in the UK by the most recent HFEA success rates, The Evewell is a fertility clinic dedicated to personalised care – putting patients at the centre of everything we do and helping to build families with compassion and expertise. This month, we spoke to Chloe Darnley, Clinic Manager at The Evewell Harley Street, to learn more about her role and what makes the clinic such a special place for patients and staff alike.
What are your main responsibilities, and what’s your favourite part of the role?
My role is to ensure the smooth running of the clinic while always keeping patients at the heart of everything we do. As the CQC Registered Manager, I oversee compliance, clinical rotas, inductions, and the many moving parts of a busy clinic. What I love most is the people – both our incredible team and our patients. Working in fertility is so rewarding; we get to support individuals and couples through one of the most important journeys of their lives.
How would you describe a typical day?
No two days are ever the same. I start by checking in with each team to keep communication strong, then work across operations, staffing, and patient pathways. From managing doctors’ and anaesthetists’ rotas to ensuring our clinics exceed compliance standards, I’m always balancing multiple responsibilities. I also step in whenever operational challenges arise, making sure patient care is never interrupted. At The Evewell, we pride ourselves on creating a warm, welcoming space that feels as stress-free as possible, and I work hard to ensure that experience for every patient who walks through our doors.
What do you enjoy most about working in the Harley Street area?
Harley Street is iconic, and being part of this hub of healthcare excellence is inspiring. I love that The Evewell brings something unique here – combining cutting-edge medical expertise with a very personal, compassionate approach. It feels special to be able to offer patients the reassurance of world-class success rates while also making sure they feel cared for as individuals.
Do you have any advice for people starting their fertility journey?
Yes – three things stand out to me:
Share something interesting about yourself that others might not know.
Before I worked in healthcare, I was cabin crew for a UK long-haul airline. I spent years travelling the world, which gave me an appreciation for people and cultures, and taught me how important it is to create a welcoming, professional environment. That’s something I’ve carried into my career in fertility – making sure our patients feel safe, cared for, and supported at every stage.
