Harley Street BID hosts free first aid training day for local businesses

Harley Street BID is proud to have organised a free, OFQUAL-regulated first aid training day to support businesses across the district in creating safer and more prepared workplaces.

The training, delivered by Onsite First Aid Training Company, took place at OMNES Education and provided six hours of engaging, hands-on learning. Participants gained essential life-saving skills and knowledge, empowering them to respond confidently and effectively in emergency situations.

Ashley Durling, Head of Operations and Security said: “It was great that so many businesses from across our footprint were able to attend. Supporting the safety and wellbeing of our local workforce is a key priority for the BID, and we’re delighted to have brought everyone together for this valuable training opportunity.”

This course meets all the compliance and due diligence requirements set out by the Health & Safety Executive (HSE). The certificate awarded to participants is valid for three years, providing peace of mind that their first aid qualifications are up-to-date and fully compliant.

Importantly, as an OFQUAL-regulated training qualification, the course automatically satisfies the HSE’s legal requirements. Businesses who opt for training outside an awarding regulated body should be aware that they remain legally responsible for conducting thorough due diligence on the quality of both the training content and the training provider. The HSE offers clear guidance and a helpful checklist for evaluating first aid training providers.

Harley Street BID is committed to enhancing safety, wellbeing, and community resilience in the area. By offering this free training, we aim to help local organisations build a safer, healthier, and more productive working environment.

Thank you to everyone who took part, to OMNES Education for hosting the event and to Onsite First Aid Training Company for delivering an outstanding session.
