Harley Street BID Launches Pilot for Lone Worker Devices

In response to growing interest from local businesses, the Harley Street BID has partnered with Vatix to introduce a new pilot programme offering a lone worker device at no cost to participating businesses for a 4-week trial period.

This initiative aims to enhance safety for individuals working alone, providing peace of mind in emergencies.

While the BID has been collaborating with Vatix for some time, and the initiative has already proven successful with our security team and businesses who have gone on to purchase their own devices, this new pilot scheme allows businesses to experience the benefits of these devices directly through the BID.

Lone Worker Device Features:

  • Instant call for help in an emergency: In moments of crisis, every second counts. The device can be activated with the click of a button or automatically in the event of a fall.
  • Not dependent on a mobile phone: Unlike standard smartphones, the device includes an SOS button, fall detection, and precise location tracking to ensure your team is safe at all times.
  • Easy to wear and discreet: The device is small enough to fit in a pocket and comes with a lanyard for maximum comfort, ensuring it can be worn without hassle.

Ashley Durling, Head of Operations and Security at Harley Street Business Improvement District, said: “We are delighted to be able to work with Vatix to offer this service following feedback from our businesses. The safety of our community is our top priority, and we believe these devices will provide an invaluable layer of safety for those working alone.”

This is a limited pilot but if you are interested in participating, please contact Ashley at ashley@harleystreetbid.com with any questions or to arrange set-up, programming, and call routing.
