As part of Mental Health Awareness Week this May, Harley Street BID is hosting a series of events aimed at raising awareness and promoting mental wellbeing.
One of the key highlights will be a Practical Wellbeing Session on supporting mental health in the workplace, taking place on Thursday, 15th May 2025, in partnership with Priory.
To ensure the session addresses the most relevant topics, we are asking for your feedback through a survey. Your input is crucial in shaping the direction of the event, so we can focus on the issues that matter most to those responsible for supporting mental health in the workplace. Please take a moment to complete the survey and help guide the conversation.
This in-person session, will provide valuable strategies for improving mental health at work, specifically targeted at HR managers, office managers, PAs, and anyone responsible for supporting or managing people. The event will kick off with a networking breakfast, followed by presentations from Priory experts on critical topics, including neurodiversity, anxiety, depression, and burnout.
Shaping the Discussion: We Need Your Feedback
To ensure that the session addresses the most relevant and pressing issues, we are asking for feedback from attendees and the wider community. A survey has been created to gather insights and shape the direction of the session. The Growing Importance of Mental Health in the Workplace
A recent Deloitte report revealed the significant financial impact of poor mental health on UK employers, estimating an £51 billion annual cost. Additionally, 46% of working parents have expressed concern about their children’s mental health, contributing to a further £8 billion in lost productivity and absenteeism. With burnout affecting 63% of workers—up from 51% in 2021—businesses are increasingly recognising the need for proactive mental health support.
For employers, the benefits of supporting mental health and wellbeing are clear. According to the Deloitte report, for every £1 spent on mental health initiatives, businesses can expect a £4.70 return in increased productivity.
