Plastic Free July – Simple Steps Harley Street Businesses Can Take to Reduce Waste

As sustainability continues to rise up the agenda for businesses, Plastic Free July offers an opportunity to review workplace habits, reduce waste and make positive changes that benefit both the environment and day-to-day operations. It also provides a chance to prepare for upcoming changes to recycling regulations, with flexible plastics set to become a compulsory separate waste stream for businesses from March 2027.

Why Plastic Free July Matters
Plastic pollution remains a significant global challenge. Many single-use plastic items are used for only a matter of minutes but can remain in the environment for hundreds of years. Plastic production is also heavily reliant on fossil fuels and contributes to carbon emissions.
