Paddington Street Gardens has been awarded a Green Flag Award, one of the UK's most recognised marks of quality for parks and green spaces.
The award means the garden is now part of Westminster’s growing collection of Green Flag sites, bringing the borough’s total to 28 award-winning parks and green spaces. Presented each year, the Green Flag Award recognises well-managed public spaces that are clean, safe, welcoming and environmentally sustainable. It is regarded as the international benchmark for parks and green spaces.

The recognition reflects the ongoing work that goes into maintaining Paddington Street Gardens and ensuring it remains an attractive place for local residents, workers and visitors to enjoy. Westminster City Council now has more Green Flag Award-winning parks than ever before, demonstrating its continued commitment to protecting and improving the borough’s green spaces.
From providing places to relax and exercise to supporting biodiversity and community wellbeing, parks play an important role in daily life across Westminster. Awards such as these recognise the teams and partners working behind the scenes to keep these spaces looking their best throughout the year.
Harley Street BID has been pleased to support Westminster City Council Parks with a series of improvement works across both the north and south gardens in the lead-up to the Green Flag Award judging process. The award recognises the historic character and legacy of the Victorian gardens, which continue to play a vital role at the heart of the local community today.
