The world’s most comfortable men’s loafer has been unveiled in London, developed in collaboration with Harley Street-based musculoskeletal specialists Marylebone Health Group (MHG), and scientifically proven to reduce and protect against common foot pain by lowering pressure on the feet by up to 400%.
The new ‘Harley loafer’ from British footwear brand Harrys London – a favourite of A-list actors and musicians including Jason Isaacs, Sam Claflin, Donald Glover, Adam Scott, and Sam Fender -took three years to develop.
Harrys London enlisted MHG to pioneer a new approach to foot support, applying leading sports science to formal footwear for the first time. MHG studied the sinusoidal motion of human walking encompassing posture, rhythm, balance, and speed—and how it interacts with pressure points in the feet. They focused on enhancing shock absorption, weight distribution, and stability.

The result is the Harley loafer, named in honour of the street where it was developed. It redistributes pressure away from high-load areas like the heel and second toe, reducing stress and discomfort.
To bring the science to life, Harrys commissioned design studio IIID to apply MHG’s insights to its Technogel insole—a unique, plasticiser-free gel that moulds in all three directions for optimal pressure relief. The new 3 6 T footbed integrates foam gel for extra cushioning, an air layer for breathability, and carbon strips for added stability. It’s paired with a lightweight Vibram sole made from durable, foam-filled rubber with a geometric lug design for superior grip.
James Moore, Founder & Clinical Director at Marylebone Health Group, said:
“By collaborating with Harrys, we’ve applied the latest in biomechanics and sports science to create footwear that doesn’t just look exceptional but actively enhances the way people move and feel.”
The Harley loafer is available now in dark brown and dark bark velvet suede, RRP £550.
