The BID has delivered two successful first aid training sessions for local businesses, helping levy payers strengthen workplace safety and prepare staff to respond in an emergency.
The one-day Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work courses gave participants the opportunity to gain a regulated, nationally recognised qualification. Suitable for staff working in offices, clinics, hospitality and retail, the sessions supported businesses looking to train new first aiders or refresh their workplace safety provision.

The training forms part of the BID’s wider commitment to delivering practical safety initiatives for levy payers, alongside improving access to lifesaving equipment across the district.
With support from HCA Healthcare, a second publicly accessible defibrillator and bleed control kit has been installed on Great Portland Street, at the junction with Park Crescent Mews East. The equipment is available for public use in an emergency.
Together, the training and new installation help strengthen the district’s emergency preparedness, equipping more people with first aid skills and making vital equipment easier to access for those who live, work and visit here.
