The BID partnered with the Metropolitan Police’s Project Servator team to deliver a coordinated security operation across the Harley Street BID area.
The deployment forms part of the BID’s ongoing efforts to strengthen safety and security across the district, reinforcing close collaboration between local partners and law enforcement.
Project Servator is a nationally recognised policing tactic used to disrupt a wide range of criminal activity, including terrorism, while maintaining a visible and reassuring presence for the public. The approach is deployed by police forces across the UK and internationally, including by the Royal Gibraltar Police.
The initiative is built on strong partnerships between police, businesses, and the wider community, encouraging vigilance and the reporting of suspicious behaviour to help prevent crime before it occurs. Operations of this nature include both highly visible and covert policing tactics.

Project Servator has been widely recognised for its effectiveness in gathering intelligence, supporting Counter Terrorism policing, and preventing crime. The tactic has led to arrests for a range of offences and contributed to the removal of weapons and drugs from UK streets.
