Rwanda’s Leading Fashion Designers showcase their work on Regent Street

Regent Street will become a vibrant showcase for contemporary African fashion on Friday 3 July, as leading Rwandan designers come together for a special one-day exhibition at the University of Westminster's Regent Street Campus.

Rwanda on Regent Street will mark the first time that a collection of Rwandan fashion brands has been presented together in one location on London’s iconic Regent Street, offering visitors a unique opportunity to explore the country’s growing creative sector and meet the designers behind some of its most exciting fashion labels.

The exhibition will feature collections from eight renowned Rwandan designers and brands, including TwinklebyAsty, Inkanda House, DoBe Couture, SM, Matheo Studio, Isheja Vogue, House of Tayo and Rwanda Clothing. Their work reflects a blend of contemporary design, craftsmanship and entrepreneurship, highlighting the innovation emerging from Rwanda’s fashion industry.

Running from 10am to 4pm (with one-hour slots available throughout the day), the event is designed as an interactive and immersive experience, allowing visitors to engage directly with designers, learn about their creative journeys and gain insights into the cultural influences and business opportunities shaping Rwanda’s fashion landscape.

Alongside the fashion exhibition, guests will be able to enjoy a live DJ set from DJ Sweaz and sample traditional Rwandan Kawah coffee, providing a taste of the country’s rich cultural heritage.

The event aims to create connections between Rwanda’s emerging creative economy and London’s established fashion ecosystem, bringing together designers, buyers, investors, academics, students, media and fashion enthusiasts. Organisers hope the exhibition will encourage new collaborations, international partnerships and greater visibility for African fashion brands on the global stage.

The programme is supported by the British Council, Rwanda Business UK and the Rwanda High Commission in London, alongside Inzira Creative Partners. Additional support has been provided by RwandAir, International Student House and Westminster Students’ Union.

The exhibition takes place at the Hideaway, University of Westminster Regent Street Campus, and is free to attend.
