Isokinetic London to spotlight next-generation knee replacement and rehabilitation techniques at Sports Medicine Night

Leading figures from the worlds of orthopaedics, elite sport and rehabilitation are set to come together in London next month as Isokinetic London hosts its latest Sports Medicine Night, focusing on the future of knee replacement surgery and recovery.

Taking place on Thursday 11 June 2026 from 6:45pm to 9:00pm at Isokinetic London, the event will explore how advances in surgery, rehabilitation and sports medicine are transforming patient outcomes and accelerating return to function following knee procedures.

The free educational evening, titled Optimising Knee Replacement Surgery and Rehabilitation Practices, will bring together internationally recognised clinicians and rehabilitation specialists to discuss cutting-edge surgical techniques, personalised rehabilitation strategies and the growing role of performance-based recovery programmes for both active patients and elite athletes.

Headlining the event is Mr Sam Rajaratnam, a globally respected Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon who has performed more than 9,000 knee replacements and over 3,000 ACL reconstructions throughout his career. Renowned for pioneering rapid recovery approaches and techniques aimed at reducing post-operative pain, Mr Rajaratnam is expected to share insights into how innovation is reshaping modern knee replacement surgery.

The evening will be hosted by Alessandro Compagnin,  Head of Rehabilitation, at Isokinetic London currently completing a PhD at St Mary’s University focused on force and power testing following ACL reconstruction. Alessandro’s expertise in neuromuscular assessment and return-to-play protocols has seen him work closely with elite athletes on tailored rehabilitation programmes.
